In a field of almost 7,000 participants from around the world that got narrowed down to 216 over three rounds, I’m honored to report that my story “A Recipe For You In The New World” was named the winner of NYC Midnight’s 2022 Microfiction Contest. Great question! NYC Midnight will have it up on their website early next year, as they have to give their artist time to complete the accompanying illustration. In the meantime, the story will also be appearing in Apex Magazine’s forthcoming collection Strange Libations: Dark Cocktails, which will be available for free to backers of their current Kickstarter campaign and then for purchase to the general public shortly thereafter. Rest assured, I will be posting on this website, on Facebook, and on Twitter the moment each of these venues goes live, so keep an eye out on the platform most convenient for you.
